For those of you that don't know anything about the guy, I'll sum it up for you - he's NUTS. Just read some of his quotes:
Abortion, environmentalism, AIDS, pornography, drug abuse, and homosexual activism have fragmented and polarized our communities.
In other words, there are different sides to different issues. Wow, how insightful.
It is now difficult to keep track of the vast array of publicly endorsed and institutionally supported aberrations—from homosexuality and pedophilia to sadomasochism and necrophilia.
Necrophilia is "publicly endorsed and institutionally supported"? Where?
The legal commitment of ideological secularism to any and all of the fanatically twisted fringes of American culture—pornographers, gay activists, abortionists, and other professional liberationists—is a pathetically self-defeating crusade that has confused liberty with license.
So then, who gets to decide if a particular group is acceptable, or a member of the "fanatically twisted fringes of American culture"? You, Mike?
Just so we're all clear, even the Christian crazies don't support this guy. We know why - The Catholic League leadership is about electing Republicans, not religious zealots, but the post is interesting none the less:
"Because there's a pattern here," he added. "Every other word out of [Huckabee's] mouth is that 'I'm Christian.' He's calling into question Romney's Mormonism...let people talk about there faith, but don't sell it on your sleeve." Added Donahue, "Yeah, I believe in freedom of speech and freedom of religion, but don't become a salesman. Don't hawk it like that on the street." The Catholic League president suggested that Huckabee was relying on his faith too heavily as a campaign tactic.... "You know what?" concluded Donahue. "Sell yourself on your issues, not on what your religion is."
This is the CATHLOIC LEAGUE for god's sake...
Run away.
More scariness here. |
