Wordsmithing

Read the notes attached to the President's vetoing of the War Funding bill. The notes state that the House of Representatives "insists on a surrender date". Surrender? to whom? Perhaps they are suggesting that the United States will be occupied by Iraq? The armed conflict resolution was against a particular nation led by a particular person - who is now dead. It is highly unlikely that we will be surrendering to Saddam Hussein's corpse any time soon. Only 19 more months, and I'm counting...
